A Shopping Trip . . . .

to Costco with Pat and Annette on Sunday.

Looks like Bob was busy taking pictures instead of shopping! Don't be fooled by the pictures. A little birdie told me he picked up his share of (food) items!
After dropping their purchases at home, Bob and Lola were treated to dinner at Hometown Buffet. I guess they just can't get enough of that place!

Lunch

at Burgerville this afternoon. But first, a car wash.
It was a beautiful day and I really should have washed it myself, but just didn't have the time (I actually enjoy washing my car . . weird, huh?) I picked Bob and Lola up and took them through the car wash with me.
Burgerville was my choice. I LOVE Burgerville cheeseburgers (and their fries, yes I had fries . . . I don't usually do that . . . but I needed them today.) Lola had a halibut sandwich and Bob had a classic burger.


We took the scenic route home and stopped at Dollar Tree on our way. Bob picked up some "all day suckers" (aka Tootsie Pops) . . . 5 BAGS! "That should last us a bit." Too funny.

Breakfast with Brad & Company

On Sunday morning, Brad, Heather, Delanie and Mac picked Bob & Lola up for breakfast. Their favorite place . . . Hometown Buffet!

Barbara Visits from Reno

Barbara came in to town from Reno on Monday, September 10th. Tuesday, she went on the bus with Bob and Lola to Fred Meyer.

Loo had a grooming appointment so I picked them all up at 12:15 after they got back from their trip. Nancy's granddaughter was there visiting. Bob can't resist taking pictures of that cute little girl every time he sees her there.

Once we dropped Loo at Nancy's, we went to lunch at Old Chicago. Bob and I enjoyed pizza, Barbara had jalepeno chicken wings and Lola had chicken fettucini alfredo. We were going to do a quick run-through at Michael's when Nancy called to say Loo was ready to be picked up. Oh well, maybe next time. We picked Loo up and headed home. Rj wanted to take all of us to dinner before we got Barb to the airport for her return flight to Reno, but everyone was still full from lunch.

So, instead he showed up with rootbeer floats for all and showed us his first place trophy he got in the West Linn Paper Mill Golf Tournament.

Celebrate 60!!

The first week of August brought Robert's 60th birthday. On Sunday, August 5th, Bob and Lola went to the Ringside Steak House for a steak dinner with Robert, Debbie, Drew, Randy & Debi. (Kim and Darin were out of town and Nick had to work.) Too bad for them because they missed out on onion rings and great steak. Bob and Lola even enjoyed a glass of wine!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAC!!!

Mac turned 1 last week . . . . wow, how time flies! Bob & Lola were out at Brad and Heather's to help celebrate!

Summertime . . . a visit from Pat, Annette, Joel and Selena. Alyce was here for a couple of days to visit.

A Visit from Cathy & Company!!

Cathy & Company visited Bob and Lola and took them to lunch at Gustav's. Looks like a great time!

Happy Father's Day!

We took Bob and Lola to Old Chicago for a Father's Day lunch. We were met there by Randy, Debi, Hailey & Ryan as well as Kim & Darin & Company!!

Alyce's Visit

Alyce came to town and ran Bob & Lola around all day. They went shopping and out to lunch and dinner! Bob and Lola had a great visit with Alyce

Happy Mother's Day

We took Lola & Bob to Davinci's Restaurant in Milwaukie for Mother's Day dinner. This restaurant is one of our favorites. It was very busy but we went early enough that we got in without a reservation. Lola had a chicken linguine and Bob enjoyed a scampi dish (he likes shrimp.) They also shared (and enjoyed) a lemon cake for dessert! After dinner, we went visited a short time with my parents.

Senior Moments

Last week Barbara visited from Reno. They visited with Kim and some of her kids on Monday. Paige and Nathan were in school.

Tuesday evening before we took Barbara to the airport, we went to Red Robin for dinner. Rj and I picked the three of them up at the same time dropping off a couple of hanging basket planters (an early Mother's Day gift for Lola). Bob and Lola had some issues in the back seat:

Bob: Would you help me instead of just sitting there.

Lola: Move your fingers.

Bob: (breathing hard)

Lola: Put your hands in your lap. You're sittin' on it.

Bob: Just put it straight in. There.

Lola: You've got it in the wrong spot. You're chokin' me!

Bob: Laughing hard and breathing even harder.

I turn around and see this:

Yes . . . . they were having trouble with the seatbelts . . . what did you think? Barbara, the entire time, is just laughing. We were half way to the restaurant (Red Robin at Mall 205) before they were properly hooked up.

We get to the restaurant and Bob is excited to see a TV in his line of view . . . he watches the NBA playoffs. Bob & Lola decide (as they usually do) to order one item and share it. He says "What should I order?" (something he always asks.) Then he suggests to Lola a Bleu Ribbon Burger. Lola says okay. I ask Bob if he likes bleu cheese. He says "No." I tell him that's what the burger has on it. He picks a Roast Beef Burger instead. Good choice, Bob.
