Delanie's Birthday Party

LAST weekend (Sunday), Bob and Lola were taken out to Brad's house to celebrate Delanie's 10th birthday. They had a great time!

An Honor

Today "some guy from the military in Salem" brought Bob a plaque commemorating the dedication of the Baker City Armory. Lola and Bob (and obviously, the "guy") took these pictures.

Lola can see clearly now . . .

At Lola's eye appointment a couple weeks ago, the doctor discovered she had "after cataracts" (the membrane they leave on the eye after cataract surgery was foggy.) Today she had a laser procedure where they cut a window in the membrane to clear up her vision. On the way home, we made a quick detour to pick up a pineapple milkshake for Bob since he had been craving one lately!

A Visit from Barbara

Barbara came from Reno to visit Monday and Tuesday this week. Bob & Lola had a great time visiting with her. She was also put to work cleaning out the kitchen cupboards!

Haircuts

Friday was haircut day. We went a little later in the morning so we had to wait a little bit before a stylist was ready to cut Bob & Lola. There were only two stylists working that morning (a woman and a man.) Bob had his hair cut by Tom before and really liked him. The woman working was talking to her client when we walked in . . . . and as it turned out talked the ENTIRE time. The whole shop could hear her talking. You name it, she talked about it. I caught Bob staring at her most of the time. When we left, Bob was barely in the car before he told Lola and I, "That woman never shut up! She drove me crazy!" Lola and I just laughed and then Bob (being a little hard of hearing) asked, "What was she talking about?"

Girl Scout Cookies

Delanie, Heather and Mac delivered girl scout cookies they ordered in February to Bob and Lola this week.

Moving Furniture

Randy spent last Saturday moving Bob's desk and new computer to a different wall in the computer room. I'm sure it was a lot more work than they originally thought, but the finished room looks great! Thanks Randy!

Indian Bluffs Action

There was some sort of medical emergency across the street from Bob & Lola's yesterday. Lots of action going on but they never did find out exactly what happened. Leave it to Bob to take the time to get his camera and take this picture. I JUST LOVE that he does that!!

Near Perfect Vision

Bob had an eye doctor appointment on Tuesday at Eye Health NW in Oregon City. Interestingly enough, he had near perfect vision with his eyeglasses on. I believe his vision is better than even mine! I was amazed at how fast he could read even the smallest line on the eye chart. Even Susan, the doctor's assistant, was impressed. His exam went well and his eyes are doing great!

Happy 65th Wedding Anniversary!

Today Bob and Lola celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. (Wow, that's a hell of a lot of years with the same man!) Alyce arrived from Bend to spend the day with Bob and Lola and Barbara. Lola immediately put them to work! They rearranged the extra bedroom to better accommodate Lola's craft items.


Dinner was celebrated at a local chinese restaurant with Robert (and me), Alyce and Barbara. Brad, Heather, Delaney and Mac; Randy, Hailey and Ryan; Kimberly, Darin, Paige, Nathan, Megan, Cassidy and Gabrielle; AND Selena and Joel helped celebrate as well as eat the TON of food that was served. A cookies 'n cream icecream cake topped off the evening. A ton of pictures were taken and a great time was had by all!

Barbara Visits

Barbara arrived from Reno on Monday evening to spend a few days with Bob & Lola. Loo had a grooming appointment at Noon. Lola decided it would be a good time for a lunch out. I picked them all up, including Loo - he was the first stop. Here's a picture of Loo before his grooming appointment.
We went to Applebee's for lunch, then spent some time at Wal-Mart while we waited for the call from Nancy, Loo's groomer.
The call never came and Lola was tired so Bob and I dropped Lola and Barb back at the house. (Lola put Barb to work cleaning out the laundry room cupboard and washing windows.) Bob and I stopped by Costco for a few "necessities" (weenies, cookies, candy bars, creme puffs and window washing spray) then went by the post office on our way to get Loo. Here's a picture of Nancy finishing up with Loo.
I had been giving Bob a bad time about how "fat" Loo was getting. They feed him "extra" food when they're at the table. Once Loo's haircut was done, I admitted to Bob that maybe Loo wasn't quite as fat . . . . he actually looked pretty good!

Tuesday and Wednesday brings snow to Clackamas. A little bit of Baker for Bob & Lola!

Trailblazer Game - Kid Style

Pat & Annette took Joel and a bunch of his friends to the blazer game for Joel's birthday. One friend couldn't make it so Pat invited Bob! Looks like it was fun, Bob!!Where's your red hair, Bob?!


This is one game I'm sure Joel will remember!

Lunch with Pat

Today Pat, Joel and Selena took Bob and Lola to lunch to celebrate Lola's birthday.

Happy Birthday Lola!!

Yesterday was Lola's birthday! We made a trip to WalMart and then had lunch at Old Chicago. She enjoyed fish and chips with a salad. Bob had a club sandwich and a salad. Needless to say, we came home with "left overs."


Lola picked out a few books for a birthday treat!
