Big Day!

The dedication of the National Guard Armory in Baker was a big day for Bob, Lola & Alice. Robert, Brad & Randy surprised them by arriving in Baker Thursday morning. Robert took a ton of pictures (something he doesn't do at all - I was quite proud of him!) The Armory was dedicated to the surviving members of Bob's unit. This picture is most of them.
Bob and Robert are pictured here with Maj. Gen. Raymond Rees (Oregon's Adjutant General) and Brig. Gen. Dan O'Hollaren (Commander of the Oregon Air National Guard). Gen. O'Hollaren is a good friend (and beach neighbor) of ours. He made a special trip to be at the dedication because of Bob. We truly appreciate his time and effort in making the day a special one. Rick's wife, Chris, made the trip from Hermiston to be present at the dedication for Bob. They were so excited to see her! Bob checks out the plane that brought Robert, Randy and Brad to Baker. There were a ton of pictures taken. If you're at all interested in seeing all of the pictures, email Bob and he'll forward you a slide show that Randy prepared for him.
